What you need to know about dieting and losing weight and keeping the weight off: personal experience

In this weight loss article, I am going to write about my own personal experience and the journey that I took to my ultimate weight loss goal. It was about 9 years ago, and I was at the heaviest that I had ever been. I was in a low point of my life, and I turned to food as something to try to keep my mind off of things. I would eat way more calories in a day than any human should, and I didn’t feel a bit bad about it. I just kept eating, and kept gaining weight.

Then one day, my father had a heart attack due to a blockage in his artery due to too much fatty food in his diet.

This led me to look at my diet really closely, because I didn’t want to end up having a heart attack that could be preventable. I found my way to a doctor’s office, and sure enough, I was at a higher risk of heart disease due to my weight. That is when I decided it was time to make some changes. I started looking up different ways that I could try to lose some weight, and with each result that I found, I felt myself growing a little more confident in my ability that I could lose weight and become a healthier version of myself. I started out with basic exercise and generic Cialis in South Africa, which included going to the gym and utilizing the treadmill, spin bikes, and weights.

The sudden uptick in motion that I was lacking in my life prior to this point made me feel a high like I had not felt in a long time. I started feeling like maybe I had found something that could curb my eating habits and help me lose some weight.

I went home after this new feeling had taken over my body and opened my refrigerator. I took out some of the food that I would normally gorge myself on, and something inside of me was like, don’t you think there is a healthier way to get the nutrition that you are seeking?

So, I started looking up healthy, low fat, low cholesterol recipes, and I came across several good ones. I took down the recipes, and headed off to my local Walmart. I bought all of the ingredients that I needed, then I headed back home. That night, I made one of my healthy meals for the first time, and let me tell you, it was life changing.

I realized that I didn’t have to lose out on taste in order to be able to eat healthy. So, the days passed, and they turned into weeks, which turned into months. I kept up this healthy eating and exercise regimen that would lead me to where I am today. I sit here writing this having lost 65 pounds, am at a healthy weight, have a renewed sense of purpose in life, and am at the minimal risk for heart disease.

I have been struggling with weight loss for awhile now. I am a small female, and it is harder for me to lose weight. After struggling for awhile with motivation, I put a foot down and decided to really stick with a routine. I have had issues with binge eating, so following a healthy diet, and eating less was the hardest part for me. I had to learn a healthy approach to eating healthy, and not being as restrictive as I might have been in the past. I figured out the reasonable caloric intake for my body size and daily activity. And I stuck to it. At the same time, I was also actively working on the gym. I work out at the gym on weights three days a week, and I do cardio four times a week. I try to keep to a strict schedule, and it really helps for me to go straight to the gym after work, and also to make sure that I am meal prepping. I keep healthy foods and snacks at bay so that I dont get tempted, and another important factor is that my boyfriend does shopping for me so that I am not tempted by everything else in the store. It really helps me get rid of cravings. I have slowly been taking off weight, but thats better than nothing.

  • I lost 60 pounds over a period of two years. I did this by drinking more water and not eating after dinner or 6:30pm, whichever came first. Like most people I gan weight easy and lose it hard, especially as I get older.. I started at 285 lbs and am now 224. I need to lose another 35 lbs but I know it s doable.

  • I was 86Kg last month and now with simple diet and the right sport I’m going to lose more than 8 kg in one month. The real deal is to think to whatever else except eating and to be strong and feel better!

  • I lost over 60 pounds in about a year and a half. I was a college student but focused really hard on meal prepping and calorie counting. I lost the first 30 pounds easily with little to no extra exercise. After that i started getting extra steps then slowly added in running and weight lifting. Since then I have had two children and kept the weight off with the skills and knowledge I learned during that time.

  • I’ve been trying to lose weight all my life and only once did I get it, it was based on drinking water and coffee and eating very little, so little that I lost almost all the muscle mass. Now I would like to lose weight again but I don’t get it despite going to the gym regularly and eating healthy.

  • I lost 5 kg in one month,now,2 kg more left. But I think this is a big change for me. Now I feel more energetic and concentrated in work.
The key is to find the beauty even in the hardest times. If you want something to change, start make a change.

  • I am currently continuing my weightloss journey after having 2 kids in a row. I gained about 40lbs and I have currently to date lost 15lbs. My son is still breastfeeding so I have to eat a lot and it can be pretty tough to work on my weight loss. Many people say the pounds come off while breastfeeding, but thats a lie. I am always hungry.

  • I burned off 20 lbs in 4 months, going from 160 to my ideal of 140. I focused on diet and set strict limits, then slowly increased and diversified the types of exercise I engaged in. Finding a passion – in my case, tennis – was a blessing. Calorie and dietary tracking are essential.
